South East Asian Programme on the Equal Status and Human Rights of Women
The South East Asian Programme on the Equal Status and Human Rights of Women is a regional initiative aimed at strengthening understanding, advocacy, and implementation of women’s equal status and human rights within the diverse social, cultural, and legal contexts of Southeast Asia. The programme focuses on enhancing the capacity of civil society actors, policymakers, and community leaders through education, training, and collaborative networking to address discrimination, violence, and structural inequalities affecting women. By integrating human rights principles with gender equality frameworks, the programme seeks to promote policy reform, empower women’s participation in public and private spheres, and support collective regional efforts toward justice, equality, and the fulfillment of women’s human rights.
