This document provides an overview of a case study on building effective co-management systems for Bunaken National Park in Indonesia. It details how the park was previously managed, lessons learned, and the objectives of partnership approaches developed between the government and local communities. These approaches included establishing constituency-based partnerships with local organizations, developing a management advisory board with diverse stakeholders, creating a sustainable financing system, revising zoning plans participatorily, and implementing a joint patrol program.
