Education reform in the context of regional autonomy: The case of Indonesia
The book Education Reform in the Context of Regional Autonomy: The Case of Indonesia examines the transformation of Indonesia’s education system following the implementation of regional autonomy. It analyzes how decentralization has reshaped governance, financing, and management of education at the local level, highlighting both opportunities and challenges for improving educational quality and equity. Through policy analysis and empirical observations, the book discusses variations in local capacity, accountability, and coordination between central and regional governments. This study aims to contribute to understanding how regional autonomy influences education reform and to inform policy development in decentralized education systems.
