Monitoring Accessible Election in the 2014 Presidential Election: Findings from Aceh, Jakarta, Central Java, South Kalimantan, and South Sulawesi presents an in-depth assessment of accessibility and inclusiveness in Indonesia’s 2014 presidential election. The study focuses on evaluating the participation of voters with disabilities and other marginalized groups, examining both structural and procedural barriers that hindered equal access to the electoral process. Through field observations, stakeholder interviews, and data analysis from five diverse provinces, the report identifies best practices and persistent challenges in ensuring universal suffrage. It concludes with recommendations for improving accessibility in future elections, emphasizing the need for institutional commitment, voter education, and inter-agency coordination to strengthen Indonesia’s democratic inclusivity.
