Marketisation of Governance-Critical Feminist Perspective from The South
Marketisation of Governance: Critical Feminist Perspectives from the South examines the impact of neoliberal reforms and market-driven approaches on governance from a feminist standpoint rooted in the Global South. The book critiques how the marketisation of governance reshapes state functions, public policy, and development agendas in ways that often reinforce gender inequalities and marginalize vulnerable communities. Through case studies and critical analysis, it highlights how women and grassroots movements resist, negotiate, and reimagine governance beyond market logics. By foregrounding voices and experiences from the South, this work not only challenges dominant Eurocentric paradigms but also offers alternative visions of gender-just and democratic governance.
