As of 2013, korea ranked 111 th in the total score, among 135 countries assesed by the world economic forum's global gender gap index, down three notches from 2012. while korea demonstrated good geder parity scores in educational achievement and health/life, its overall GGI posted due to low scores in economic participation/opportunities.
