Mixed marriages discussed in this study is the mixed marriages due to difference in ethnics (sub-ethnic)/village, faith, caste, class and social status, even citizenship. Interstate marriage is only allowed if it is performed overseas, and immediately record their marriage once the couple got back to Indonesia.
