Mainstreaming gender in local budgets : civil society and government collaboration in city of Palu

The experience of budget advocacy in the Palu Municipality several strengths that have enabled the steps that were taken to produce quite significant changes. The city has not only become a reference and received national awards as a locality that has succeeded in increasing participation by women; its activists have also provided inspiration and motivation to many other activists who seek to increase women's participation in decision making.Ther Spesific ins and out of the advocacy initiated by the Central Sulawesi Community of Concerned Women and Children(KPPA) are described in thisbook, Written by the activist themselves; this short article will simply complement that information with a few interesting notes on the advocacy effort.
