Whilst the pages of this book span a relatively brief period of timem a litttle over a quarter of a century, they record the numerous achievements and milestones which together from the building blocks of the United Arab Emirates. They take reader on a literary exursion from the period prior to formation of the federation, when a journey from Abu Dhabi to Dubai or Al-Ain was a time-consuming and quite arduos adventure, to the present day in which such trips are undertaken in air conditioned comport over fast smooth multi laned highways or by intercity air-link.
