No sweat: fashion, free trade, and the rights of garment workers
No Sweat includes the voices of workers, activists, labor lawyers, trade unionists, industry executives, journalist, and academics. One of the aims of the conference was the show how matters of style are not disconnected from labor issues, despite the fact that commentators habitually treat these two words as if they were mutually exclusive.Consequently, some attempts has been made here to cover the spectrum that runs from child labor in Bangladesh to runaway couture in Milan, Paris, and New York.
