Gender and crime in modern Europe
This book explores the construction of gender norms and examines how they were reflected and reinforced by legal institutional practices in Europe in the last 200 years. Criminal prosecution and punishment in the context of gender are discussed in relation to the victims and perpetrators of crime and the influence of other factors including class, ethnicity and age.
