Development the structure and content of the Indonesia Toponym database

The Toponym data is not only containing the spatial information but also contain a history, culture, and other interesting information. This information should be prevesed inside the efficient data structure. The study is restricted discuss about the fileds structure. The comparative study conducted to get the summary from the other country toponym data structure. Ten toponym data structurs are using to make the summary. By the end of study just only five data from five different country that bean used due to the completeness of the data structure. The recomendation to the Indonesia toponym data structure are given in this study.
Not only evaluated the data structure, a study has been done to find out the eligibility of the free toponym data from VGI service susch as Geonames, Wikimapia, and Open Street Map. The data from the services have been examined to find which service that has the most complete. The free toponym data are intended to complete the official Indonesia toponym data. The type data checking also conducted to find the characterstic of each data service.
