Domestic Violence In Vietnam: Context, Forms, Causes, And Recommendations For Action
This book presents research findings on domestic violence (DV) in Vietnam, covering the socio-cultural context, forms of violence, causal factors, and intervention recommendations. Based on surveys and in-depth interviews, the study reveals high prevalence of DV, including physical, psychological, and economic abuse, influenced by patriarchal norms, economic pressures, and lack of awareness about women's rights. The book analyzes gaps in legal frameworks, limited access to services, and victim stigma, offering recommendations to strengthen legislation, enhance institutional capacity, expand integrated services, and promote social change campaigns to prevent DV and protect victims more effectively.
