This document is the proceedings of a regional workshop organized by the Asian South Pacific Bureau of Adult Education (ASPBAE) and the Women’s Resource Development Center (PPSW) in Bali, Indonesia, on 27–30 November 1999. The workshop examined the linkages between violence against women (VAW) and adult education, emphasizing adult learning as a strategy to raise critical awareness, empower women, and prevent gender-based violence. The proceedings summarize presentations, case studies, and discussions from participants across the Asia-Pacific region on good practices, challenges, and recommendations for integrating VAW issues into both formal and non-formal adult education programs to drive social change and strengthen community capacity in responding to violence against women.
