Women and Male Violence: The Vision and Struggles of the Battered Women's Movement
This paper examines the dynamics of the women's movement, which focuses on addressing violence perpetrated by men against women, specifically in the context of the battered women's movement. It discusses the movement's vision in fighting for justice, protection, and recognition of victims' rights, as well as the various challenges faced, such as social resistance, patriarchal norms, and limited institutional support. Furthermore, this paper highlights the role of activism, policy advocacy, and the development of support services for victims as part of social change efforts. Overall, this movement has become a crucial driver in raising public awareness and encouraging reform in addressing violence against women.
