Earthquake Aftermath: Violations of Women’s Human Rights in Pakistan
The book Earthquake Aftermath: Violations of Women's Human Rights in Pakistan examines the impact of the major earthquake in Pakistan on women's lives, especially regarding the human rights violations they experienced after the disaster. Rather than simply highlighting physical damage, this book emphasizes that emergency situations actually exacerbate women's vulnerabilities.
In conditions of displacement and limited access to basic services, women face various risks, such as gender-based violence, sexual harassment, and lack of privacy and security in refugee camps. In addition, access to health services, especially reproductive health, is very limited.
