Policy Paper: Assessment of Indonesia's Human Rights Progress and Contribution As a Member of the United Nations Human Rights Council
This policy paper assesses Indonesia's progress in fulfilling human rights and its contribution as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council. It reviews developments in human rights policies, regulations, and practices at the national level, including achievements in protecting civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights. It also identifies ongoing challenges, such as impunity, discrimination, and the protection of vulnerable groups. Furthermore, it evaluates Indonesia's role in international forums through its active participation in UN human rights mechanisms, commitment to international instruments, and contributions to fostering global cooperation. Using an analytical and evidence-based approach, this policy paper provides strategic recommendations to strengthen the implementation of human rights domestically while enhancing Indonesia's constructive role internationally.
