Review Of Pre-Departure Program (PDP) For Prospective Migrants: An Action Research
This book presents an action research study evaluating the effectiveness of the Pre-Departure Program (PDP) designed for prospective migrant workers. It examines the objectives, content, and implementation of the program, which aims to prepare migrants with essential knowledge and skills before leaving their home country. The study analyzes how the program provides information on legal migration procedures, workers’ rights, employment conditions, and coping strategies for living and working abroad. Through participatory research methods and field observations, the publication identifies strengths and weaknesses in the program’s design and delivery, while offering recommendations to improve its relevance and effectiveness in preparing prospective migrants for safer and more informed migration experiences.
