A Report On Barriers To Access To Legal Services For Migrant Women: Quarter Way To Equal
This report examines the barriers that migrant women face in accessing legal services and justice in both their countries of origin and destination. It highlights structural, social, and institutional challenges such as limited access to information, language barriers, discrimination, insecure migration status, and the lack of affordable or available legal aid. The report also discusses the gap between existing legal frameworks designed to protect migrant workers and the realities of their implementation in practice. Drawing on policy analysis and documented experiences of migrant women, the publication emphasizes the importance of strengthening legal support systems and improving coordination among governments, legal institutions, and civil society organizations to ensure that migrant women can effectively claim their rights and obtain equal access to justice.
